E. S. G. Program The schedule in the intermediate school makes provision for certain teachers to teach English, Social Studies and group guidance to the same pupils. The block of time for this instruction in the seventh grade is equivalent to tw o and one-half regular class periods. At the eighth grade level, the block of time is two periods each day. The teacher, in approaching and extending this subject matter, uses procedures and content related to guidance.

The program is strengthened through the help of the guidance director and other specialized counselors.
