One of the major responsibilities of the counselor and teacher is to guide and stimulate the interest of the individual in all phases of the total learning activities so that his general and special capacities are developed. Guidance services assistpupils in achieving desirable goals by providing individual inventory, counseling placement and follow-up services. 9
