The Tollowing Two years were Tilled wiTh end- less hours oT planning - planning which, by The grace oT God, resulTed in The opening oT LuTher lnsTiTuTe on April I4, l909. One Tloor oT FirsT Immanuel LuTheran School, ll35 S. MarshTield, was large enough Tor The sixTy-six sTudenTs and Two TaculTy members, Mr. W, C. T-lerrman and Mr. David Chase. This modesT beginning was expanded already during The TirsT summer wiTh The addiTion oT The commercial course.
