First year as a class many of us from L.I., some from other schools St. Stephens and Redeemer pioneering school colors chosen frosh-soph basketball team Crossroads initiated Christmas service at Redeemer dedication of L.H.S.S. moving day God in His mercy opens doors of school to students on March II, I952 new building, new equipment, new ambition first annual maroon and White Day intramural sports program begun exams, and Luther South closes its doors on its first scho-ol year. Upperclassmen now many clubs Chapel Committee started Sadie Hawkins Day first varsity basketball team P.S.L. competition Christmas service in West Wing Bow Week Star Nite, huge success wrestling .lunior class hayride spring football practice faculty - varsity game .Iunior Banquet exams, and the final year not far off. Here at last work begins on the Shield, our first yearbook first Student Council Luther South in P.S.L. Homecoming, and a charming queen football competition Sopho- more skating party more bows during Bow Week new clubs We Shook the Family Tree , Senior Class Play basketball, a good year new fathers on the faculty Christmas program Shield Week faculty - senior game baseball in P.S.L. parents' nights A Million or More in '54, Completion Campaign banquet at Clearing Club Baccalau commencement exercises at C I reate service a umet and the first graduating class of Luther High School South is now but a lingering memory.
