ADMINISTRA TION A Message From The Principal You are taking your places in the world at a time when there is a great intellectual, religious, and moral ferment. You will have to find your way in a complicated, but great civilization, and under varied institutions of freedom, the most perfect the world has ever known. We are asking you to take advantage of the great ballooning of opportunities for young Americans today. Our world has suddenly become a small world, and we have, by no means, reached the peak of our destructive capacity. The unrest that is so dominant in today’s world is representative of people everywhere who want to have their places in the sun. We trust that the training which you have received here will enable you to appreciate your unusual opportunities and will make you sensitive to your obligations to your fellowman. Men and women with a thirst for knowledge will turn to you for light, and others who have no convictions of their own, and who do not know their own sentiments until they have heard them expressed by someone else, will seek you for guidance. Your teachers and I are conscious of the problems and difficulties that confront you and will be glad to assist you in any way that we can. We trust that as you go forward, you will carry with you an abiding interest in your Alma Mater, that you will remember her in your prayers and will constantly work and live so as to reflect her noble instruction in your characters. We shall always be happy to have you visit progress and your problems. , or wjite us, and let us know of your A. B. Cousins, Principal 5

Knowing that all of you are very enthusiatic because you have reached the goal for which you were striving, we congratulate you. Realizing that this is not the end, you must assume the responsibility to look forward to greater achievements if you work diligently. If you desire to be successful, you must have faith in God, and have faith in yourself — believing “He can who thinks he can.” Don’t become discouraged when problems seem very difficult to solve; learn to specialize in what others may call “The Impossible.” We sincerely hope that the knowledge that you have acquired here will pay rich dividends in the future because educational opportunities are increasing; therefore, you must prepare to avail yourselves of these opportunites. Now is the time to prepare for the future so that your hopes and dreams may become realities. In your continued quest for knowledge, you may find peace and understanding. 7 Signed...
