FOREWORD Through the gates of Foster High School pass the leaders and followers of tomor¬ row. Each of us enters with different ideas, ambitions and beliefs. At first, we may find that life behind the gates presents the opportunities for making new friends, find¬ ing new social activities, and learning new experiences. Thus, as life around us gath¬ ers momentum, we discover that we are being exposed to a new phase of academic learning. Becoming aware of this new phase, we realize that Life is composed of two parts, that which is passed--a dream; that which is to come--a wish. We study, we play, we learn. A part of that wish is fulfilled after long years of sweat, toil, and tears. The other part of that wish is a pending challenge. Yet, there has to be a memory--a lasting memory of the struggle from beginning to end. Where can we find such a blessed and lasting memory of our high school days, of Bulldog Land? — Here, O mighty reader, in the pages of the 1966 Bulldog--Handle it with care, for it is ever fragile, and it must serve for years to come.
