To show our appreciation for his willingness to help us in any worthwhile thing we strive to do; for all the extra work and his determination and desire to do anything in his power to make our school a better place and the students in it better citizens, we proudly dedicate the 1962 Bulldog to this understand¬ ing man, our principal, Mr. J. B. Pervall. 3

Class Colors Black and Yellow Class Flower Yellow Carnation Class Motto Out of the harbor into the deep channels Class Song As we leave this our Alma Mater Let our hearts be filled with pride, For our years have all been fruitful And you ' ve been our solomn guide. Oh Foster, we will hold your name high To our motto we will be true, As we march each day Through our parting ways The Senior Class of ' 62. Though the years ahead will bring us trials When our stay with you is done; We will always realize, dear Foster, That our struggle ' s just begun. When we leave, we ' ll take with us your blessings, We ' ll remember you in all we do; Parting brings us sorrow, But we seek tomorrow-- We the Seniors of ' 62. Class Poem The years have crept upon us And now we must depart. But the memory of you, Dear Foster, Will forever linger in our hearts. For you have shared with us The bounty of thy soul. And planted in our hearts and minds The seeds of noble goals. Your touch of love and devotion Has been a radiant light. Guiding us slowly and diligently Through paths which lead aright. Your teachings and your precepts Have led us to life anew; Till we now glimpse life ' s vistas From a true and lofty view. So good-by, Dear Foster High, Farewell, farewell. In our minds you ' ll e ' er remain. In our hearts you ' ll always dwell. 2

Foreword Co-Editors’ Message To produce a yearbook for the student body is one of the most outstanding privileges awarded to seniors. This year through the enthusiasm and hard work of our yearbook staff, administration, faculty, and student body, we, the co-editors, have tried to guide in the makings of this book of memories. We sincerely hope that this ' 62 edition of the Bulldog will serve as a basis for enjoyment and appreciation in later years and will serve to broaden us as individuals in the modern world. Co-Editors, Joan Bates Claudia Carter ( 4
