As you leave Luther H. Foster, we are fear¬ fully aware of your fitness to meet the challenge of the years ahead. You will take paths in many directions seaking your goals. Having different wants, desires, a wide variety of aptitudes, and abilities to realize these goals you form an in¬ tricate pattern of human lives. Message From the Principal JOSEPH B. PERVALL V •% ' ■ ••• r.: » ✓ ' i A • ■A K ..p. » w ■ ! • . . - We earnestly hope your goals will be alike in that they all terminate in prosperity, security, peace, and happiness. The manner in which you reach these goals again presents a varied pattern. Some will choose the building trades, others agriculture, others in nursing, cosmetology, teaching, home¬ making, or the learned professions. Each of you will need more training than you have received thus far to reach the top in your chosen field. I hope you will apply yourself to this quickly and earnestly. Yet doing a job well will not in itself bring solace to the soul or peace to the mind. Let me offer three elements which applied will in a measure assure your desired ends. You must have an increasingly higher appreciation for those things spoken two thousand years ago on the Mount of Olives--things that moth will not corrupt nor thieves break through and steal, an unsatisfying hunger for higher idea Is formulated on the principles of the life of Christ, and an adoption of a higher sense of moral and spiritual values, whereby we learn to live peaceably with all men, respecting all men, understanding all men. Our parting prayer is that you keep faith, meet the challenge of the world undaunted, and face tomorrow fearlessly. With the aid of Him who made us all, you will win. ■w f tSsls : tr ff - ' AS ' saAr v
