Science Nature is explored during biology, physiology and chemistry classes everyday. It is our good fortune to be equipped with the necessary material which is needed in conducting these explorations. Under the guidance of Mr. Frank D. Clark, chemistry teacher, our science department qualifies to be one of the better equipped laboratories. Micro- scope, slides, reading material and utensils are provided for the students use. Our present instructors are well experienced in the field of science, Miss Marguerite Yaeger has had several opportunities of traveling out oi our state and country. Myler, Charles , Niedortqljoris History Social studies give to the students, further insight and added interest to everyday world affairs. This study gives appreciation of past events making history study material for students in the present. World history recreates the fame of men and women long before us and allows us to compare their accomplishments and failures with the occuring efforts in our time. American history teaches students to know their country better and to appreciate its freedoms. Here pupils are taught the meaning of patriotism and are instilled with a pride in the past triumphs and defeats of our country. Last but not least comes civics. The future citizens of America are brought to understand the func- tions of our government. Duties of the president of our U.S.A. are explained to the class along with the duties of the citizen. The privilege of voting is fully brought out in this course. These and many more topics are the studies involved in history. 18
