The CARDINAL 19 2 9 “Boosters” The Boosters—God bless ’em—they do The boosting it takes to succeed. Outstanding, aggressive and true, They are always taking the lead; And always you find them alive, From shackles of lethargy loosed, And alivays by dint they contrive To boost and to continue to boost. They get up and hustle and go, With energy, backbone and grit; They know what they want and they know They’ll get it by doing their bit, And each—whether woman or man— Takes part in the issues produced, Hat h doing as much as they can. And managing ever to boost. And always they mingle and mix. And gather and stick with the crowd; They learn all the secrets and tricks Of which the go-getters are proud; They hobnob with stranger or friend. And through some magic adduced. Find patrons to serve in the end As ever and always they boost. ' The Boosters—God bless ’em!—they serve Wholeheartedly, ivilling and loyal; Endowed with rare vision and verve. They toil and unfailingly toil. God bless ’em again and again. And may they be ever induced, These true-serving women and men, To boost—and continue to boost. By Sidney Warren Mase rs » JO
