59 l-'inancial Secretary, Marla Bradleyg Trea- surer, Lester Landry. This class was now confronted with the task of working to raise money for the prom--a school project. Both Romeville boys and girls were involved' although they attended seperate schools. They were giv- en a week of leisure time to decorate the gym for this event. The year ended, and this Class of '73 returned to school in the summer of '74 to become part of the Lutcher High School 1975 graduation class. RONIEVILLE GIRLS--The ninth grade class at Romeville Girls was only 15 in num- ber. Walter Williams was their principal. First, they enjoyed Freshmen Initiation. Each freshman was told to dress like men and compete ina sac race. Following this activity, the class presented a number of school plays, beginning in the ninth grade with SHOT GUN WEDDING, tenth grade, MISS CHUCK LUCK5 and eleventh grade, SANTA'S TOY SHOP. Officers were elected in the eleventh grade. Class officers included: President, Shelia Williamsg Vice-President, Berna- dette josephg Secretary, joylin Scott, Treasurer, Darlene Francois. Then, the exciting moment of working with the boys' school to prepare for the prom arrived. The schooll'73-'74 was crippled when fire ravished the school building. To complete the term, the girls attended classes atthe boys' school on the platoon system. The boys attended classes from seven o'cloch until twelve noon, the girls, from one o'clock to six. J
