Each club voted one senior girl to compete for the title MISS GROWL. Poise, beauty, Y and talent were the criteria for selection. Donna Tramonte, representing the Drama Club, was awarded the cov- eted title. April 9 ended an especially demand- ing time. Seniors had selected a mot- to, class colors and had written a class song. These were displayed on a threefold invitation, which arrived on campus on April 9. The invitation was different, admirable, and seniors were especially happy. April hosted a number of activities. Class night and graduation had to be planned. Angela Landry organized committees to prepare for these ac- tivities. Mrs. Poirrier coordinated both these activities for the seniors. May arrived. A major highlight was the Baseball team's victory over Catholic High of Baton Rouge to win the 7AAA State Championship title. The '75 senior class graduated on Wednesday, May21, 1975. The cere- monies were held on the football field--a location which had not been used since 1960. A total of 159 sen- iors received diplomas. Earning a 4.0 grade-point average, Leslie Levet captured the title of Valedictorian of the '75 Graduation Class. Paul Bossier, Donald Brignac, and Timmy Thames each earned a grade-point average of 3. 950 to tie for the title of Salutatorian. The 1975 Senior Class pays tribute to Lutcher High School by emphasizing its motto: Knowledge Comes. But wisdom lingers. and by stressing the concept that We all know that al- though we are leaving Lutcher High, the knowledge taught here will al- ways remain a part of usg and in fu- ture years we, as individuals, will be confronted with the task of acquiring wisdom. fig 251 A , :sie 5 ' ig 1. 31:52 -PM sift?
