Julius Derbigny, Principalg and Karen Poirrier, Assistant Principal, welcomed the Greenies. This year was one of adjustment for the freshman class- -new administrators, new faculty members, a new environment, new courses, added responsibilities. Time passed. This year of adjustment ended. School opened for the term '72-'73. Freshmen were now an average class of Sophomores. As had previous tenth grade classes, they sponsored the annual magazine campaign and successfully raised a substantial amount of money to purchase benches for the campus. Eleventh grade appro ached. The black and the white students worked separately tno raise m oney for the junior- senior prom . Boys and girls worked together. The year ended. The school term '74- '75 promised to be an exciting one. LUTCHER HIGH--The students from all four high schools were consolidated into one high school. Norman Buckner was namedPrincipalg Karen Poirrier returned asAssistantPrincipalg and Eldridge Step- toe was appointed Assistant Principal, also. The '74-'75 graduationclasswasthe first to experience consolidation. The campus represented 933 students, 171 of which were seniors.
