g Z5 'Ijamify KCl,5LefLa! LUNENBURG vs. ALUMNI The annual Alumni game was won by the Blue Knights of Lunenburg by a 56-33 score. Ed Hy- tinen with 12 points, and Bob French and John Beaulac with 10. and 9 respectively were high scorers for the Blue Knights, while Art Colvin with 9 points was the high scorer for the Alumni. Lunen- burg was out in front 9-7 at the end of the first period but they were behind 15-11 at the half. Lun- enburg forged out ahead 50-22 at the three-quarter mark, and went on to win by a score of 56-33. Every- body on the team saw action in the game. IUNENBURG vs TOWNSEND The girls beat Townsend by a 46 25 score Carol Irons was high scorer with 16 points and Myrna Allen chipped in with 14 Lunenburg widened their ltad to 38 16 at the three quarter mark and went on to mn by a 46 23 score IIINENBURG vs PEPPERELL Lunenburg continued its dominance of the Wlachusett League play by beating Pepperell High School 56 47 in Pepperell Lunenburg led 14 6 at the end of the first quarter and led 32 31 at the end of the third quarter During the last quarter Lunenburg rallied and at the final buzzer the score read Lunenburg 56 Peppercll 47 Ed Hytinen was high for Lunenburg with 20 points Don Ostertaf' chipped in with 13 and Bob French added 10 for h Blue Knights For Pepperell Chet Riley was high with 19 points IUNENBURG vs ALUMNAE The Lunenburg girls opened the season with an impressive 4617 score over the Alumnae Myrna Allen with 19 points was high for Lunenburg Carol Irons chipped in with 14 points and Pat Landry added 10 Helena Mina with 7 points was high for the grads Lunenburg led 15 5 at the end of the first quarter and 28 7 at halftime At the end of the third period Lunenburg was ahead by a 39 11 count and at the end of the game the scoreboard read Iunenburg 46 and the Alumnae 17 IUNENBURG vs MILFORD Luncnburg traxelled to Milford New Hamp shire on Tuesday night December 10 in quest of their third straight victory Instead of winning their third in a row they suffered a heart breaking 50 49 loss Iunenburg was behind 13 7 at the quarter mark and fell behind by a 32 19 count at the half The third quarter saw Lunenburg fight back but at the thrte quarter mark they were still behind by a 42 v6 score Ed Hytinen hit an important foul shot mth about 15 seconds to go to tie the score 49 49 But McB1in hit a foul shot with about 5 seconds to go for Milford and that was the margin of victory Gladmort with 16 points was high for Milford while Bristol chipped in with 13 and McBa1n with 11 fd I-Iytinen with 16 points and Pete Peterson with 14 vscre high for Iunenburg
