DRHL0NE6A ■x GEOR IFL , Dedication We, the Senior Class of 1963, proudly dedicate The Argus to our coaches . . . Coach Parks has devoted many extra hours of his time for the better- ment of Lumpkin County High School and its athletic program. He has supervised and emphasized the spirit of fair play and the winning touch for the last three years. Our hats are off to you. Coach Don Parks, aristocrat of the court. Our football coach has become so much a part of Lumpkin County High School in the short three years that he has been here. Coach Jack Street, patient and hardworking, has instilled in us the character of good sportsmanship, has won the admira- tion and friendship of all, and has introduced the thrill of a new, major sport, football, to our school. They have promoted the esprit de corps of Lumpkin County High School through healthy com- petition andpridein an outstanding athletic program. They have truly made the best better. NDIlUHiSININQb In the eternal triangle of Christi - anity, God is first, others second, and self is last. Rejoice with them that rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be sympathetic, toler- ant. and understanding” You are about to complete another cycle in your educational career. We share in the joy of your triumph. As you travel from LCHS, let OTHERS be your watchword. With this spirit as your objective - love, joy, and peace will successfully crown your efforts. E. G. JARRARD County School Superintendent Board of Education STANDING: F. L. Corbin. Walter Caldwell SITTING: Gordon Anderson, Frank Gable, James Woodward, M. D., Ch. During your days at L.C. H. S. you have been in an environment where academics are stressed, scholarship honored, where sports are encouraged, where spiritual and social extracurricular activities are made possible, and where respect for the individual personality is prized. Those of you who are nearing the end of your schooling here can look back and realize the growth that has occurred in each of you - growth in knowledge, in understanding, and in appreciation of the best in life. You, new and young students, feel the spirit of the school and that spirit is becoming a part of you. too. As you progress from one year to another and experience the processes of growth, your school spirit and loyalty will grow and deepen. MR. J. D. EDGE MRS. R. A. GRIFFIN MR.
