The Lumberton High School Student Council has attempted to better the atmosphere of the school by working with the administration in order to obtain certain privileges for Seniors and to eliminate certain rulings that are unfavorable with the student body. The Student Council made and sold football ribbons to make money for a scholarship fund. During the football sea- son visiting teams were welcomed. They also sponsored a Christmas dance. 91

The 1973-'74 Key Club of Lumberton High School had a very eventful year. They elected many new members to help strengthen their club. The Key Club works on various school and community projects. They sponsored a basketball game between the Men's Fac- ulty and KAY-C disc jockeys to raise money for their Annual Dis- trict Convention in San Antonio. Miss Ruth McFadden was selected as Sweetheart.
