The J'.V. cheerleaders were a very spirited group of girls, led by junior Angie Johnson. They painted posters for the halls and gym, and led cheers at ju- nior varsity football and basketball games. Cheerleading camp at Sam Houston University brought the girls two excellent and two superior ribbons. The girls would like to express their appre- ciation to Mrs. Ashcraft, who served as their sponsor for the 1973-'74 season. ,N

The Lumberton High School Student Council has attempted to better the atmosphere of the school by working with the administration in order to obtain certain privileges for Seniors and to eliminate certain rulings that are unfavorable with the student body. The Student Council made and sold football ribbons to make money for a scholarship fund. During the football sea- son visiting teams were welcomed. They also sponsored a Christmas dance. 91
