Terri takes time out in the hall to pose for the camera. ww' Jeanne watches the game, hoping for another Raider victory. The close score of the Dayton game seemed to make Cheryl and Terri nervous. Jeanne introduces Becky to Mr. Bolton, who helped the cheerleaders out this past year. 89

Varsifg Cheerleaders The 1973-'74 Raider cheerleaders are fstandingj Jeanne Mouton, Cheryl Sheffield, Terri Neely, and LaDean Collier. Kneeling are Marilyn Fountain, Becky Recla, and Debbie Mason. ff , ' ' ee ' at Cheryl did 21 g00d leh HS head Cheerleader fOr the '73' Mascot Becky Recla adds to the spirit at football '74 Raider team. games. Six energetic cheerleaders--three juniors and three sophomores--were responsible for the spontaneous cheers at all ballgames and pep rallies. They spent hours painting slogan posters and hanging them around the campus and gym, and organizing pep rallies. Also they sold spirit ribbons before each game. Summer camp at S.F.A. in July was a success, with the girls winning two superior ribbons, two excellent ribbons, and the spirit stick. The 1973-'74 cheerleaders would like to express their appreciation to their sponsor, Mrs. Penna, for her help throughout the year. sf , LaDean and Marilyn have a better view of things at the Homecoming bonfire, thanks to Glenn and Greg.

The J'.V. cheerleaders were a very spirited group of girls, led by junior Angie Johnson. They painted posters for the halls and gym, and led cheers at ju- nior varsity football and basketball games. Cheerleading camp at Sam Houston University brought the girls two excellent and two superior ribbons. The girls would like to express their appre- ciation to Mrs. Ashcraft, who served as their sponsor for the 1973-'74 season. ,N
