High Price Of A Free Education Senior Rodney Herms gets help putting on his gown for senior portraits. Why can ' t we just rent our cap and gown? Lori Shoffner asked. One of the responsibilities which comes with being a senior is increased monetary expenses. The seniors are suddenly burdened with portraits, invitations, cap and gown, senior ring, and prom attire expenses. You don ' t realize how many in- vitations you need until you star counting friends, David Isbel said. Many seniors believed the leasi necessary expense was having tci buy their cap and gown. The money that goes for them for jusi one hour ' s use is ridiculous, ' Nicky Alexander groused. Even though being a senior was dampened by the high expenses, most felt the thrill of graduation night made everything else seem insignificant. 16 STUDENT LIFE
