The Senior Class I of Ludowici High School Ludowici, Georgia  Presents ... The 1964 BLUE TIDE fasmamSSSz FOREWORD The Staff would like to thank all those who helped to make our 1964 Blue Tide a book which we are pleased to present as our best. We thank the student body and the faculty for their cooperation and sympathetic understanding; our parents and com- munity friends, whose support has been generous and unstinted; the Board of Education, our Superintendent and our Principal, whose official interest and aid have always been an inspiration; our photographers. Mr. Harris and Mr. Elam, whose skill cannot be surpassed; Mrs. Bennett, our faculty advisor, who never counted the hours when we worked. We leave this book as a token of our love and appreciation for our school, our community, and our wayoflife. It is a part of our life. We have worked on it. truly believing that If a thing is worth doing at all, it is worth doing well. Say not--they did well or ill, Only they did their best. ■91 Across the fertile lands of Georgia, — TBS- We will e'er uphold its standards, Cherished days gone by. Stands ole Ludowici High, Forward, onward, be our watchword. Conquer and prevail, For many years we've learned 9 To love thee, Blue and White, all Hail! Because you came through these doors at dawn, and didn't leave till dark, giving your day to youth--at times not a very rewarding occupation. Because you helped to make this year of '64 the best year ever. Because you were there when we needed you most, we give to you the most precious gift we have to offer . . . the dedication of a year of work, a year of memories. MISS BARBARA PARKER, we dedicate our 1964 BLUE TIDE to you. ADMINISTRATION SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE I am pleased to extend to you, the students of Ludowici High School, my sincere best wishes on the publication of your 1964 Blue Tide.” Your school environment shall furnish the basis for many of the values and habits that will guide your footsteps throughout life; and it is my earnest desire that you will choose to make valuable use of the years that you will later affectionately remember when looking at this Blue Tide and similar reminders of your school days. Please permit me also to offer the annual staff my congratulations and appreciation for the fine work they have done in presenting this fine edition of the Blue Tide. PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE You will have the privilege of living in the most exciting, stimulating, and turbulent period in man's history. But, with that privilege comes the responsibility of learning to cope with the complex challenges facing man today. Remember, you will be held accountable for the kind of world you pass on to succeeding generations. Some of you will seek to meet this responsibility through further education, others will go directly into the economic and social life of the community. Whatever avenue you choose, strive for the fullness of life that comes with the satisfaction of a job well done. Do not be chained by conformity, entombed by provincialism, or ruled by disappointment. For the aware, optomistic individual, life is a great adventure. Emerson said it best, We find in life exactly what we put into it. OUR SECRETARIES Secretary to Principal MRS. MARGARET PARKER Secretary to Superintendent MRS.
