Blue 1962 Cudowici High School Cudowici, Georgia This has been our home however brief the time. Though only a few years of our lives have been spent here, we will leave something of ourselves behind . . . nothing material, not a book on the shelf, nor coats on a rack, but something indefinable ... a moment of our lives ... a thought ... a mood. These buildings have sheltered us and we loved being within their walls. That was yesterday. Today we pass on, and we may see them no more, but we are different because of the hours, months, and years spent here. We are changed in many and varying ways . we can never be quite the same again. This place on the map. . . this group of buildings . . . our school, we will leave many times, yet never really leave for just as a part of every heart will linger here so will the Spirit of Ludowici High be with us when we leave. These moments will not pass for memory keeps all yes- terdays in remembrance. Our Mwa Mater Across the fertile lands of Georgia, Stands old Ludowici High, We will ere uphold its standards, Cherished days gone by. Forward, onward, be our watchword. Conquer and prevail, For many years we’ve learned to love thee, Blue and White all Hail! ADVISOR Mrs. Bennett EDITOR Maria Bachtell Annual Staff Annual Staff at Work ... ASSOCIATE EDITOR Mary Hendrix BUSINESS MANAGER Betty Ann Paul Mound the Clock Thou'rt gone! the Abyss of heaven Hath swallowed up thy form; yet on my heart Deeply hath sunk the lesson thou hast given, And shall not soon depart. Dedication We, the graduating class of 1962, respectfully dedicate our an- nual to the memory of Lewis M. Hawkins, a former friend and class- mate. On Thursday, May 14, 1959, we were saddened by Lewis' death. Even though he has left his earthly place, there will always be a place in our hearts for the fond and warm memories of Lewis.
