LUDOWICI HIGH SCHOOL Ludowici, Georgia DEDICATION We, the 1957 graduates of Ludowici High School dedicate this first volume of the BLUE TIDE to Mrs. Mary Leigh Bennett and Mr. Blakely Thornton who both stand for what they believe is right even though the majority may be against them. They have both been here throughout our school life and we have learned to love them with deep respect. Their qualities of helping to lift the burdens from many students have long won admiration of every student. We gratefully dedicate this book to these outstanding teachers and will always be loyal to both. HUGH D. HOWARD Superintendent FLORR1E MOODY Secretary J. W. JACKSON Principal LEFT TO RIGHT: M. W. Jan Gordon established a scoring record this year Joy scoring a total of 669 points in 23 games for an average of 29 points per game. This is the highest average ever made by a girl at Ludowici High School. She ob- tained these points both inside and outside but her one-hander from the outside was a thing of beauty. She out scored the opposing school in ten of the games. Jan has given us something to be proud of and we all wish her much success next year.
