VICTORY ’85 October 4,1985 was the date of the annual fall Booster Day pep rally. The L.H.S. cheerleaders, led by cap- tain Sue Shatzer, and co-captains Krystal Applebee and Lynn Evans, got the students ‘‘psyched.”” Stu- dents enjoyed dances, cheers, and the antics of “The Ludicrous Lions,” who performed their “ding-dong” cheer and several other unusual feats. Fall athletes were introduced and applauded by the crowd. The girls’ soccer team gave their rendi- tion of the cheerleaders’ pyramid amid much uproar from the crowd. That night, the Senior Class hosted the Booster Day Dance, entitled “Victory 85.” Entertainment was provided by Jane Welsch and Neil Jackson of 96 WTIC FM. Once again many junior and senior boys per- formed what they call “the worm dance” to Otis Day’s Version of “SnoOutg BE roy Booster Day pact YE » ? M 4? 0 M4, : Jh a)

FROM BUNNIES TO DICE What was Marilyn Monroe doing in the Ludlow High School cafeteria? Well, Marilyn portrayed by senior Carrie Marceau, was joined by many other characters ranging from Play- boy bunnies to a pair of dice (Chris- tine Andreis and Kathy Melbourne). The event was the Halloween Mas- querade Party sponsored by THE CUB on November 1, 1985. Mike White and other student D.J.’s Steve Picard and Mike Abeid “hooked ‘em up” with some music as they played songs from such diverse groups as Motley Crue and the Talking Heads. During the dance, Brian Dygon took pictures of those who were willing to make a small contribution to THE CUB. In another corner of the cafe- teria, Mrs. Mazzocco, Mrs. Bacon, and Mrs. Lyons chose the students with the best costumes in a variety of categories. The evening came to a close when junior Cindy Lyons pre- sented the costume awards and the last slow song was played. dine Halloween Dance
