Hugh O. MacFarlane, Superintendent of Schools Superintendent's Message In this age of almost undreamed of scientific advancement and knowledge, your high school diploma represents an achievement of great importance to your future. The era of “success without schooling” is on the wane, and education has become increasingly necessary to the fulfillment of ambition. It is our hope that the training you have received will prove to be a firm and solid foundation upon which to build a lifetime of achievement. Even more, perhaps, we hope that you may have been inspired to a continuing search for knowledge. I suggest that personal accomplishments built upon a dedica- tion to have a vital concern for others will enable you to master the art of successful living. And so my highest hope for you, the Class of 1968, is that you have the greatest success and happiness in the future. Sincerely, Hugh O. Macfarlane Superintendent of Schools
