ADMINISTRATION PRINCIPAL GEORGE E. RUSSELL—“A friend and sympathizer” To the Class of 1961: The members of the Class of 1961 have in their achievements made a lasting impression on the history of Ludlow High School, and as the Principal of the school I extend my appreciation for all that you have done to further the traditions of this school. Your contributions in athletics to make Ludlow a name synonymous with high achievement, your diligence in your studies to enhance the school’s name, and your performance in extra-curricular activities to exemplify good conduct—all of these have been most worth-while. Your leadership of the student body and the standards you set have made all of us exceedingly proud of you, and your fame has been spread by the members of the Visiting Committee whom you impressed so favorably during the Evaluation phase of our high school in your senior year. Your yearbook serves as a fitting testimonial to your continued efforts and I for one will in the years to come, in reviewing the pages of this book, recall the very pleasant associations I have had with the members of this class. In your remembrances I know that you as individuals will look with satisfaction upon the things that you have accomplished as students. I hope that in your future successes you will recall the pleasant memories of the days at Ludlow High and consider that some measures of that success may be attributed to the background you received here. HAIL, JUNIOR AND SENIOR ADVISORS JUNIOR CLASS ADVISORS MR. BOITA—He thinks all the Yankees need is a course in “Trig.” MRS. CORMIER—She allows no shorthand in bookkeeping. MRS. FOCOSI—If the world were an office, she’d have it on a string. MR. FRYER—With levers and meters he’s way up on top. MRS. PROCTOR—Une professeur extraordinaire. SENIOR CLASS ADVISORS MR. BENJAMIN—He offers a balanced equation of education and laughter. MR. PATULLO—He believes the world is shaped like a football. MR. ROONEY—He passes happiness and knowledge to all his stu- dents.
