MR. PETER BOITA Much has happened to us—a grind of classes and a crowded schedule of meetings, rehearsals, cam- paigns, elections, and ball games. Through all these momentous events, one name stands out above all others as the beacon in the darkness—one PETER BOITA. Words just cannot express how much it has meant to us to be able to work with such a wonderful person as Mr. Boita. The Ludlow Lion cannot include all our memories—especially the anecdotes with which he has inundated us!—but we do want to preserve for posterity the hope that we may reason out our lives as well as he has taught us to reason out our “math”; that is, that we may know how to “hold the phone!” Although his illness prevented his being with us for the first four months of senior “math,” his interest in us continued and grew constantly. We appreciate his interest even more now that he has returned and gives so unselfishly of his time and effort in our behalf. What we have gained in- tellectually we can never lose, nor can we purchase it; its value is intrinsic. To Mr. Boita goes much of the credit for the broadening of our educational horizon. Therefore, to Mr. Boita, who has contributed so very greatly to our fund of knowledge, to our memories of yesterday, and to our dreams of tomorrow, we the senior class of the Ludlow High School, proudly dedicate the 1960 edition of THE LUDLOW LION! 3
