F' Bus drivers include: Dick Ritsema, head driver, bus 155 William Wallace, bus l2j Clarence Laman, bus 14, Donald Miller, bus 9g Betty Phelps, bus llg Virginia Granger, bus lOg Darvvin White- gnight, bus l6g Martin Hudy, bus l8, and Daniel Fellows, bus l7 Custodians Each LHS custodian is a carpenter, locksmith, plumber, gardener, house- keeper, and whatever else a situation demands. These versatile men keep the high school in excellent condition all the year round. A broken window, a balky furnace, or a misadjusted desk occasionally dis- rupt the daily routine of cleaning. Night custodians must often stop their work to lock and unlock doors for visitors. LHS salutes its custodians, who are friendly and capable through all inter- ruptions. Bus Drivers Though snow and sleet and gloom of night can keep bus drivers from their appointed rounds, the highly competent drivers of LHS have ventured forth in some fearful weather. The rural buses found the 1958-59 winter to be an especially difficult one. Bus drivers work extra hours taking teams and fans to out-of-town games. They must also cope with occasional mechanical breakdowns. LHS salutes these people who are so often respon- sible for the safety of many students. Cooks Ludington high's cafeteria cooks pre- pare food which serves over 500 people each day. They carefully plan menus which are alternated for variety, and they train the students who assist them during the two noon hours. The two huge milk cans may empty themselves in the middle of the rush, or the hamburgers may seem to disappear, but no one goes hungry. LHS salutes its cooks, whose hard work gives pleas- ure to many lunch hours.
