joreworc! Dances, dates, meetings, ball games, and studies; all these things made up the wonderful year of l960 at Lucedale High School. In some ways it was a year iust like any other, but to each person in school, it contained experi- ences and accomplishments that made this one stand out from all others. To the Freshmen, this was a year For adiustment.to their new school . life and much anticipation for their future high school career. The Sophomores and Juniors moved a little closer to their alluring goal and the day when they will reign supreme. For the Seniors, this was the year of all years. They experienced with great de- light, all the privileges bestowed upon honorable seniors and looked forward with great courage to the new challenges which they now face. Weddage 17 , . Mr. SHOWJEII This year has meant something a little differe ent, to each student and faculty member, yet to everyone, this was the year for achievement and growth during our eventful , challenging years. In the years to come, as you look over these pages, the Lucedalian Staff hopes you will recall the happy memories at LHS in 1960. Restrictions that give one man freedom are bondage and tetters to another. A Person's ability to conform to social regulations depends upon the kind of person he is, the strength of his desires and appetites, but more especially up- on the eftectiveness of his training. Those who learn disci- pline and conformity to needed social regulations early in life, experience little conflict between the things they want to do and social regulations, for their desires fit the accepted patterns of society. May you give much thought to this important phase of your lite. A well adjusted person is usually happy in a complicated society. Best Wishes, M. A . Snowden
