Some people think of everything! Fearless senior Eugene Kovach, decided to try his luck by cycling his way through the library rush. Autumn Happenings Relieve Fall Fever Brisk rainy autumn days sent students scurry- ing into a tumult of activities. Middleclassmen prepared for the Junior-Senior Prom by selling magazine subscriptions to raise money for the gala spring event. Many students packed bags for speech, journal- ism, and VlCA tournaments, conventions, and contests. LHS delegates journeyed to statewide meetings throughout the year. Seniors relinquished Saturday morning sleep to work on Super Saturday, the Senior Carnival. A teacher dunk, marriage booth, and pie throw, highlighted the homeroom booths, while The Lox furnished music for dancing in the cafeteria. The first quarter ended, the Thanksgiving vaca- tion passed-winter rushed in. As the day of rejoicing drew near, Anna Lee Ramirez, Vicki Montgomery, Janie Pena, Rickey Andrews, Mike Ramos, Connie Tapp, Alfred Velasquez, and Barry Jolly became more aware of the true meaning of Christmas by visiting the manger scene at a local church.
