Reviewing attendance records each day requires close concentration from Vice-Principal Williams. Everybody in the Williams family becomes involved when backing the Westerner football team. Mrs. Pat Williams, Rhonda, Kivett, Brent, and Mr. Knox Williams enjoy to- getherness along with other Westerner fans. For a feature in the Westerner World, Editor Kathy Holmes gathers information from Mr. Williams. Appreciation . . . TO THE MAN who is worthy of our praise and recognition for maintaining a professional attitude, but being willing to help any student personally being gruff in a pleasant manner having the loyalty to back all sports activities, win, lose, or draw enjoying his job because of the individual contact with students using a ready smile and a sly sense of humor possessing the ability, patience, and talent to sponsor and direct the first three All-School assemblies . and progressing from speech teacher, drama teacher, student activities director, assis- tant principal and vice-principal to principal in Lubbock High School. BECAUSE OF HIS twelve years of service, devo- tion, and leadership, we dedicate the forty-ninth volume of the WESTERNER to MR. KNOX WIL- LIAMS.
