J. 0. fBuddyJ Brothers During nine out of ten pep rallies. Coach Brothers, wearing the same suit. shirt, and tie, addressed the student body. This suit of clothes was as traditional with Coach Brothers as his vault onto the stage and his speaking at every pep rally. Coach Brothers begins his rally before the Pampa game. DEDICATION . . . Coach Buddy Brothers J. O. tBuddyj Brothers came home to Lubbock High School last fall and found a place in the hearts of Westerners. Many teachers are fondly remembered by students, but rarely does one make such an impact as did Coach Buddy Brothers in his first year at LHS. Most saw our coach, an LHS graduate and former Westerner himself, for the first time as he vaulted onto the stage to address the student body assembled for the season's first pep rally, but it wasnit long before all came to recognize the man, to appreciate his way of making every student feel important to the team, and to respect his super- stitious quirks. 'Thereis not really any way to describe him-she is just greatf' This feeling expressed by a cheer- leader was echoed by the entire student body as they pledged, win or lose, Mwieill always be behind you, Coach Brothers.
