From the largest Sophomore Class in the his- tory of Lubbock Senior High 12 students were chosen for Wh0's Who. The group, electediby a committee of teachers and students are, front row, Delia Close, Anita Cordon, and Carol Simp- Twe Ve Chosen For Delia-did the art work for the sophomore assembly and served as a vice-president of the class. Anita-outstanding for her musical ability, was a member of the All-State Choir. Carol-worked on the WESTERNER and was a WESTERNER WORLD cub reporter, attending the THSPA convention in Denton. James-was president and accompanist of the Choralaires, and as- sembly organist. Lynn-secretary of the class, delegate to TASC and a member of the Monterey planning committee. B-PW Club Sponsors Girls of Month The Business and Professional Womenis Club honors one girl each month during the school year by selecting her from the Senior Class for Girl of the Month. After being selected, she attends one of the night meetings of the club at which time she tells something about herself and her activities. A book is usually presented to her as a gift from the club. Moral and ethical stand- ards, leadership, and service, and the basis of their characters are the factors considered in choosing these girls. They must also be good influences on other people, have good scholastic standings, and be tolerant and democratic toward their fellow students.
