The All-Westerner boy and girl are elected by a secret ballot vote of the faculty. They are chosen because of their outstanding person- alities, their ability to lead, honesty, loyalty, service, and their gen- eral all-round value to Lubbock High School. Class favorites, too, are elected by secret voting by class members. The Senior class, because of their three years of interest in Lubbock High, are rewarded with the privilege of choosing a favorite boy and girl. The Junior and Sophomore classes choose one favorite each, a boy or a girl. Students in the Who,s - Who section are honored on the basis of their accomplishments, dependability, scholarship, and general out- standing qualities. The teachers choose these students by a secret vote. Eight seniors, six juniors, and four sophomores are elected to this honor. Each class elects a boy and a girl to represent them as their cheer leaders. The six chosen serve the entire school year, especially during the football and basketball seasons at pep rallies and games. l

Although Lubbock High is fifteen years old, it looks much younger. The students, because of their love of the building, have kept it clean and new-looking. This building is one we can well be proud of when visitors exclaim over its beauty.
