fw- coordinators Miss Grace Padley is a familiar person around Lubbock High. She is the coordina- tor of language arts and also the director of guidance. Miss Padley attended the Univer- sity of Wisconsin and Northwestern Univer- sity, where she received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees. Miss Dorothy Lomax is serving on the administrative council which is functioning in the absence of Captain W, B. Irvin. super- intendent. She is also director of secondary curriculum. Matthews, whose regular position is that of principal of Senior High, is now acting superintendent and member of the administrative council during the absence of Captain Irvin. Recog- nized everywhere for his efficiency, Mr. Matthews, in his 20 years of service to the Lubbock school system, has won the respect and admiration of many. He re- ceived his Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Methodist University and his Master of Arts degree from Texas Technological College. lr. McCabe, a new member of the faculty, is appre- ciated by all the students, be- cause of his ability to make friends and to remember new ' faces. His duties are more than those of dean of boysg he has been a great help to the student body in planning programs, pep rallies, and general school activ- ities. The sophomores are in- deed fortunate in having him as their head sponsor. Mr. McCabe ' holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree, having received his training from Morningside College and the University of ,Ewa-HN Miss Mamye Alexander, though she has long been familiar in Lubbock schools as a visiting teacher, comes to Senior High only this year as dean of girls. She is a friend to every girl and boy, and a willing helper where help is needed. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Technological College.
