She is a friend to every girl and boy, and a willing helper where help is needed. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Technological College.

l Captain W. B. Irvin buperintendent on Lea-ve of Absence. Captain William B. Irvin, who is now serving in the armed forces of our country, has been superintendent of Lubbock Public Schools for the past six years. During his eventful career, Captain Irvin has been superintendent of the Pampa, Perryton, and Lubbock schools. He has taught in four Texas colleges and universities during the summer vaca- tions. He also has taught in the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. Captain Irvin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree from Hardin- Simmons University.
