Page 20 Student Ceo nel The Student Council of Lubbock High School is an organization that has promoted school activities for the past nine years. Among the many things for which the group is responsible are the activity books, decorations for home football games, special trains and busses. decoration of building at Christmas, and an annual all-school dance. The Student Council also sponsors some of the assembly programs and offers its services to various ogranizations at different times. Officers of the Council, which are president, vice-president, and secretary, are elected by the student body in the spring of the preceding year. while the vice-presidents of each class are elected by their re- spective class. The president and secretary of each of the three classes are also members of the council. Sponsors of the Council are: Mr. Dan W. Powers, head sponsor, and Mrs. Ethel Terrell.
