Vocations Academics 9 ■ I The World of Work Vocational classes helped prepare students to go out into the world with occupational skills. Marketing and D.E. classes studied various aspects of business while going to school half a day and working the other half. Homemaking classes studied household skills by making shirts, cooking, and studying child development. Home and Family living classes were preparing to meet the challenges of married life and child care. Ag students learned about the care of livestock and how to farm in general. Students working in the office under the eagle eye of Susie Adams learned various secretarial skills.
