Faculty Meets Varied Needs Teachers met their daily teaching assignments with cheer- fulness and enthusiasm. Teaching in their specialized fields, they also sponsored organizations and tried to keep up with the work load of papers, papers, and more papers. They often acted as counselors, guiding students through personal and classroom problems, as well as career and college decisions. They often devoted their outside time to hobbies which enhanced their teaching or gave of their time to extracurricular school functions.
