They found the time to participate in school activities While developing Christian homes as well. Making the barracks livable was a particular challenge for the wives, and husbands wrestled with long hours of work and study. Proving that marriage and school could mix, the college couples found time to play intramurals and to be active in various social clubs. The challenge of effectively allocat- ing time to necessary tasks around the house brought added benefits as married students achieved new disci- pline and applied it to their school work.
