Chapel, devotionals aid spiritual growth for student body Striving to maintain their spiritual growth, students found themselves in- volved in various religious activities. Chapel provided a welcome break in the everyday routine. The quiet time spent in prayer and song gave students a chance to orientate them- selves for the day. , Devotionals, more spontaneous than chapel or formal church services, gave students the chance to build up each other spiritually. Clubs, the Senate, and individuals held these moments of fellowship. Bus ministries, Bible classes, and mission work gave people opportuni- ties to share Christ with an unbeliev- ing world. In whatever program oil work they chose, students found numerous ways to serve the Lord. WORSHIP-19

Spirit of sharing dispels annoyances in crowded dorms As students returned to campus they found new friends and over- crowded conditions. Three to a room was not an uncommon situation, but harmony was achieved. Men had to adapt themselves to the musty smell of mildew as Johnson Hall experienced plumbing problems, and coeds fre- quently ran out of hot water in Katie Rogers Hall. Curfew presented a few social problems, but it did provide the discipline needed for studies. The usual complaints surfaced and at times the strain of community living seemed unbearable.
