New students were kept busy learning what the others already knew, and all were kept occupied moving into rooms and fighting the problems of registration. It was soon apparent that the motto was hurry up and wait, as students tangled with lines for phones, chapel, mail boxes, and registration. And then there were those interminable book lines. The Student Senate endeavored to chase away these first week blues by sponsoring the movie, Airport and holding an all-school devotional. An all-school mixer permitted students and faculty to meet informally and be entertained by the Hard Travelers. ,QI-lg., -,. 6 ' FIRST WEEK-17

Chapel, devotionals aid spiritual growth for student body Striving to maintain their spiritual growth, students found themselves in- volved in various religious activities. Chapel provided a welcome break in the everyday routine. The quiet time spent in prayer and song gave students a chance to orientate them- selves for the day. , Devotionals, more spontaneous than chapel or formal church services, gave students the chance to build up each other spiritually. Clubs, the Senate, and individuals held these moments of fellowship. Bus ministries, Bible classes, and mission work gave people opportuni- ties to share Christ with an unbeliev- ing world. In whatever program oil work they chose, students found numerous ways to serve the Lord. WORSHIP-19
