In a time when many students felt that nobody listened to them or cared about their particular concerns, we were refreshed in finding a man who listened, who cared, and who acted on behalf of the students. Since you came to LCC, your involvement and concern has bridged the generation gap. As a teacher of political science, you challenged us to participate in today's vital issues so that we might be able to stabilize our future. As a sponsor of the Walter Prescott Webb Society, the Junior Histor- ians, and a campus social club, you helped us appreciate our political, cultural, and social heritage.
