OREWORD During a time when our country is engaged in war, we offer this book as a contribution to the morale of the students of our University, in that this is the story of one part of the American way of life. To portray the scholastic year 1941-1942 at Loyola University of the South has been the aim of the Wolf Staff. The various phases of a school ' s life are intertwined as closely as day and night. To separate these phases and indicate outstanding events was our tedious task, but we have attempted to represent ade- quately and justly all individuals and groups.
