The publication of class books at Loyola is not a long-established tradition. Only of recent years have they been issued, and often there have been obstacles to hinder their successful completion. Tfotwith- standing, each year has witnessed an improvement over preceding years, and we of the Q ass of 1931 have tried to continue that advance by originality and innovation. In the pages that follow, we have attempted to transcend the mere recording of facts, and to cap- ture and embody in a permanent record something of the character and spirit of the (follege as a whole, and of the (graduating C ss in particular. Terhaps our efforts have been vain and presump- tions, for we struggled with new techniques and strange media, attempting to surpass while but half familiar with the standard. TMay the literary ghosts of our predecessors look kindly on our opus!
