In the classroom The Faculty of Loyola has always hccn a most distinguished one. In searching for a man whose Christ-like character hest typifies the Jesuit way of life. we have selected a devoted and outstanding priest, Father Joseph M. Kelley, SJ. For more than thirty years, various graduates-to-he of Blakefield have profited from his superh teaching. On Satur- days, many have enjoyed his lively lrish wit at the Physics Cluh sessions. Father has always liccn a source of inspiration to us. He has played a major role in guiding us through the door which leads to future maturity. Witll the sincere desire, therefore, to express our gratitude for Father's untiring efforts and inspiring example, we, the Sen- ior Class, dedicate this '58 Loyola to Rev. Joseph M. The Tabernacle has been the strength, thc spirit, the center of our young Catholic lives at Blakefield. Behind this golden portal is He for Wholn we search. During our formative years at Loyola, He has chan- neled into our daily lives some of His grace and love. He has been our understanding source of encouragement in the Sacrament of Penance, our model of generosity in the sacrifice of the Mass, and our source of spiritual food in the Eucharist. During these years, our progress was at times hesitant, but we per- severed. Wfith the help of our Jesuit training, under St. Ignatius' inspir- ing motto AD MAJORENI DEI GLORIAM, our High School days have been a success! Now we are prepared to step through the door which opens into the next phase of our Catholic lives-Catholic maturity! As our friend and inspiration in High School, He now is to take over the direction of our mature Catholic lives. The threshold over which we have passed at Loyola is our preparation for that maturity. If later we meet the challenge of maturity: if we conquer its problems and difficulties, we shall, at that moment when time becomes eternity, pass through that final door which opens to eternity and a face to face vision of Him whom we learned to love so ardently. .
