Welcome to Loyola High School As we conduct you on this tour of our school, we ask you to look about and examine closely what you see, for there is something special here. The secret soul of Loyola, the hidden source of its unique School Spirit is an ATTITUDE OF CENEROSITY. In all the year's en' deavors, the SPIRIT OF GIVING lives at Blakelield, We have come to appreciate this spirit by frequent participation in Our Lord's generous sacrihce in the Mass. We have caught the spirit from the inspiring example of our selffsacrificing parents, and from our dedicated teachers, whose highest aim is to mold their students into the likeness of Christ, into greatfhearted men of strength and balance in a weak and unstable world. We have learned from watching each other in action: doggedly studying when the going was distasteful and lacked success, enthusiastically working on a class project though the job was big and the hour late, blocking and tackling on the practice field when it was all work and no glamour, continuing to cheer the team on when the rain was pouring down and we were twelve points behind, long after the last class of the day has passed, working on in the Band and Camera Club and in a host of other extracurricular activities, seeking the glory of God, the honor of Loyola and the improvement of personal talents. In this atmosphere, we seniors have spent four swift and happy years, not always living up to the ideal, it is true, but at least coming to realize that we should. We are about to take our leave, enriched by our experiences, inspired in our efforts to develop this expansive, soul' satisfying formula for a full and truly successful life. Come along with us nowg let us show you the Loyola we have come to know and love, its outward beauty and its inward strength.
