The times in which we live require that we give special attention to the education and development of those few individuals upon whom we depend for leadership. We par- ticularly need spiritual leaders, a handful of men and women who live at the height of the Christian Gospel in all its concrete fullness. They are needed as the leaven in the mass, as lights amid the darkness, as strong cities set upon hills. Thomas E. Murray

VERY REVEREND ANTHONY J. ZEITS, SJ. ' President ms l en In the short eight months since he has returned to Loyola, Rev. Anthony .l. Zeits, S..l. has won its love and respect. From the first day we were introduced to him, we knew that his formidable frame contained a kindly heart, and that in the new Rector we had gained a true friend. Loyola yearhooks of ten years ago tell us that Mr. Zeits was a teaching scholastic at Blakeficld, Moderator of Athletics, quite active and well-liked. We are happy to he the first graduating class in the rectorship of this manly priest who has shown such a devoted and unfiagging interest in every Loyola student and every Loyola activity, and who possesses those qualities of leadership and spirituality which serve as a model to each one of us. We fondly trust that he shall remember us as long as we remember him.
