GEORGE UIHLEIN Dean Uihlein was a member of the Student Services Department at Loyola since 1966. He brought to Loyola more than 20 years experience as a national officer of Phi Kappa Theta fraternity. As Dean of Men, he devoted his energy and time to advising student organizations, counselling students, overseeing student lounge space, in short tirelessly helping to “personalize” Loyola for her students. Hundreds of Chem 112 students in the last eight years have been in- troduced to the wonders of test tubes and bunsen burners in Professor Uihlein’s lab. A warm and generous man ready always to do anything for Loyola and her students, George Uihlein personified the finest qualities in man. His death is a great loss to all of us at Loyola. 15
