By l923, the faculty residence and the gymnasium had been added, and the enrollment had risen to 469. Plans tor moving and further expansion were blocked by the 1929 depression, when student enrollment dropped to a low ol 293. With the revival of prosperity Loyola's class roster continued to grow until it reached the high of 800 in 1953. Yet it Father Dumbach could revisit his school today, he would find it still guided by the same principles and method of study.
