MONA WEHRMAN I try to keep people from knowing, but my sweet disposition keeps showing, Transferred from Abbotsford 4, Remember When, . . Amidst all the confusion of the first day of school, we, as Freshmen found ourselves very much bewildered, befuddled and amazed. We ran around in circles hunting for our classes, and were very much embarrassed when we ended up in the wrong one - especially if it was a class of Seniors. Our mistake, much to their amusement, made us blush and feel worse than ever. However, they were really pretty good Joes g they lent us a helping hand and tried to make us feel more at home. Just about the time we were at ease in school, the Seniors decided to go along with an old custom and initiate us. So, on initiation day, much to our dismay, we found ourselves hiding behind other peop1e's skirts because of our curious looking get-up. With our blouses on backwards, our hair up in pincurls, and two different shoes on, Qwith another pair at home just like them, we just didn't look like ourselves. Of course, the boys were no exception either. You needn't think they weren't laughed at because of the earrings they had to wear, the pants leg they had to roll up, and the overshoe they had to slop around in. As Sophomores, we were pretty well broken in, and used to the old grind. We could sit back and more or less feel at home. Selecting our Junior Class rings was another stepping stone on our way through school. Some of the boys didn't seem to be satisfied with theirs: at least that's the way it seemed, because they soon gave them away - to girls, of course, Finally, the big event we had been waiting for ever since we started High School rolled around - the Junior Prom. Under a blue and silver canope, we danced to the theme of Stairway to the Stars. Al though some of the boys had learned to dance just the night before, the couples glided smoothly to the charming music of Howie Sturtz: Now, as Seniors, we are on the last lap of our hurdle through school. Many of us recall the boners we pulled and we can turn to each other and say - Do you remember the time when. , . Those were me good old days that will soon be over. Oh, sure, we all had our gripes, but who's happy without them? And who would be happy without the friends we made in these four years? TREASURER WAYNE VICE PRESIDENT GERA LDINE SECRETARY .
